Top five essential garden shows to visit in 2018
To get us excited about National Gardening Week (30 April – 6 May 2018), we’ve been scoping out our must visit garden shows for 2018. Here’s our top five:
2018 RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The world’s most prestigious flower show runs at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea from 22 - 26 May. Featuring spectacular show gardens, contemporary artisan gardens, inspiration for small garden spaces and plenty of opportunities for celebrity spotting, it’s a must attend event for any garden lover. There’s also awards galore and we’re thrilled that our EasyPrune , a one-of-a-kind pair of cordless secateurs featuring power-assist technology, has been shortlisted for the sought after RHS Chelsea Garden Product of the Year 2018 award. We’re keeping everything crossed!
Gardening Scotland
Gardening Scotland was set up in 2000 by a group of volunteers passionate about the art and science of growing plants. Held at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, from 1 - 3 June it features art, crafts, music, food and drink alongside wonderful show gardens and floral displays. A fun-filled day out for all the family.
Gardeners’ World Live
Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from 14 - 17 June, the Gardeners’ World Live event offers the return of plenty of much-loved favourites plus new and exciting features. There are show gardens aplenty and the chance to listen to talks from top experts such as Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh and Carol Klein. As an added bonus, tickets to this event also get you free general admission to the Good Food Show Summer taking place next door!
Blenheim Palace Flower Show
Now in its sixth year, the three day Blenheim Palace Flower Show at Woodstock, Oxfordshire takes place in the 2000 acres of land surrounding this picture-perfect British stately home. It runs from 22 - 24 June, celebrating the very best of gardening, home and lifestyle. It also provides an opportunity to explore the magnificent Palace Formal Gardens for those looking for regal inspiration.
Harrogate Autumn Flower Show
As we head into autumn, the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground from 14 - 16 September. Alongside the floral displays, demonstrations, food, drink and shopping opportunities there’s also the famous giant vegetable competition which is set to wow visitors as colossal carrots, monster marrows and podgy parsnips weigh in!
