Could your home office do with a revamp? Look no further: with a few old baking tins and some cork, you can create unique pinboards in just three steps. What’s more, it’s a great way to get organised at home!

Corkboard: 50 x 100 cm (L x W)
Picture hangers, self-adhesive
Nails for hanging your pinboards

Step 1 4

Measure the baking tins

You need: Digital Laser Measure Zamo (Set), Zamo - Tape Adapter, old baking tins (made from tin)

Do you have some old baking tins lying around that you don’t use anymore? Great! It’s easy to turn them into cork pinboards. Step 1: Measure the bottom of the tins. Our tip: turn the tins over to measure them – this will ensure a more accurate result. Now make sure you have enough cork for your project.

Step 2 4

Transfer the dimensions for your pinboard on to the cork

You need: circle/rope/string/piece of wood, pencil, corkboard

Using a pencil and compass, transfer the dimensions of your tin on to the corkboard. Determine half the diameter of your baking tin – i.e. the radius – and use that to measure the distance with the compass. Draw circles as templates for your pinboards. The number of baking tins you use and their size is up to you; they don’t all have to look the same.

Step 3 4

Cut out the cork for your pinboards

You need: Cordless screwdriver (IXO), IXO Collection – allsaxtillsats, optional: cutter and cutting board

Now cut out the cork circle which will form the base of your DIY pinboard. If you want, you can use a cutter for this – just make sure you use a cutting mat underneath it. Alternatively, use the IXO cordless screwdriver and cutting adapter. It’s ultra fast and convenient.

Step 4 4

Glue the corkboard into the tin and attach the picture hangers

You need: hammer, old baking tins, all-purpose glue or cork glue, Picture hangers, self-adhesive, Nails for hanging your pinboards

Your new pinboards will be ready in no time! Glue the cork discs to the bottom of the tins with all-purpose glue. Press down on the cork and then leave it to dry. Now you just have to attach the picture hangers to the back – and voila, your pinboards are ready to make their debut on the walls of your home office, whether as decorative elements or useful reminders! To hang them up, you just need one nail per pinboard.
