Operating modes
- Adapt the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece. A space of less than the height of one full tooth should be visible under the workpiece.
The cutting depth can be set using the lever for cutting depth preselection (30).
For a smaller cutting depth, pull the saw away from the base plate (13); for a larger cutting depth, push the saw towards the base plate (13). Set the required cutting depth on the scale (29).
For a clean cut, a space of less than the height of one full tooth of the saw blade should be visible under the workpiece.
We recommend that you place the power tool down on the front side of the protective guard (15).
Loosen the clamping lever for mitre/bevel angle preselection (7). Swivel the saw to the side. Set the required mitre/bevel angle on the scale (6). Retighten the clamping lever (7).
Note: When making mitre cuts, the cutting depth is less than the value shown on the cutting depth scale (29).
The "CutControl" viewing window (9), which folds out to the front, allows the circular saw to be guided precisely along the cutting line that is applied to the workpiece. The "CutControl" viewing window (9) has markings for right-angled cuts and 45° cuts.
The 0° cut mark (31) indicates the position of the saw blade when making a right-angled cut. The 45° cut mark (32) indicates the position of the saw blade when making a 45° cut.

Use the left edge of the cut mark as a guide to make the cut, as shown in the figure. In this case, the waste piece is on the right-hand side. We recommend making a test cut.
