Maintenance and Cleaning

Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any work on the power tool.

To ensure safe and efficient operation, always keep the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.

In order to avoid safety hazards, if the power supply cord needs to be replaced, this must be done by Bosch or by an after-sales service centre that is authorised to repair Bosch power tools.

If necessary, clean the drill column (4) with a dry cloth and spray it lightly with Bosch universal cutting oil (accessory).

Adjusting the Brake of the Drive Unit

The clamping force of the brake for the drive unit (12) can be adjusted.

Checking

The clamping force of the brake must securely hold the drive unit at any height.

Adjusting

Use the hex key (23) to turn the set screw (35) anticlockwise to reduce the clamping force or clockwise to increase the clamping force.
Check whether the required clamping force has been reached.
