Position the fruit pallets

To make your table, you first need to get the fruit pallets into position

So what should the table look like?

You need:

Cordless drill/driver

Soon, your four fruit pallets will be transformed into your very own garden table. But first you need to bring together the crates on a raised work surface. Depending on how high or wide you want the table to be, you can position them on their long or short sides. Either way, make sure to turn them around so that the open sides face outwards – then you can use them to store magazines, books or blankets. Once you’re happy with the basic shape of your table, secure the pallets firmly to your work surface. To do this, simply join together two pallets using one screw clamp, and use another clamp to secure the pallets to your work surface.

Drill the holes

To screw together the pallets, you first need to drill holes

Locate the points where you can screw together the two fruit pallets. To make sure your table is as sturdy as possible, we recommend drilling at least one hole in each horizontal slat.

Screw the pallets together firmly to ensure your table is sturdy

Use a ratchet and cordless combi drill to put together your table

You need:

Cordless drill/driver

Mixed sets (bits, drills, accessories)

, phillips-head screws, nuts, washers

Insert the screws into the holes and, on the opposite side, put one washer and one nut over them. To ensure the screws are secured firmly and your table stays together, you need to tighten them. Use the ratchet to hold the nut in place on one side, while using the cordless combi drill to tighten the screw on the other side.

The next step in making your DIY table: put it all together

Repeat steps 2 and 3 to screw together the other fruit pallets

, g-clamps, phillips-head screws, nuts, washers

To screw together the remaining fruit pallets, repeat steps 2 and 3: secure the pallets using the screw clamps, drill the holes, insert the screws and tighten them.

Attach wheels to the fruit pallets

Wheels will make your table easy to move around

Whether you’re in the living room, on your balcony or in your garden – now you can take your table with you

You need:

Cordless drill/driver

, Wheels, Torx screws

To make your table easy to move around, first place it upside down and place a wheel on each corner, around 2 cm from the edges. Insert a screw into the wheel (there should already be a hole in the wheel frame) and use the cordless combi drill to screw it in. Now your table can go wherever you go.
