    Before you can replace an individual tile in your bathroom, kitchen or hallway, the grout around the broken tile must be removed. Our step-by-step guide will show you how to go about it.

    Removing the grout around the tile

    You need:
    Multi-function tool

    Have you got your protective goggles, ear protection and mask on? Then let’s get started. Place your multi-function tool with a suitable segment saw blade on the grout and carefully remove it. Move the tool slowly and steadily in one direction. Repeat this process on the other three sides of the tile. Be careful though! Focus on what you’re doing – the tool is sensitive and can quickly damage an unbroken tile if you aren’t careful.

    You need: Vacuum cleaner, box knife

    Once the grout has been roughly cut out, you can remove the last remnants with the box knife. It’s worth vacuuming up the dust and grout remnants with the vacuum cleaner when you’re done.
