Here's our four essential garden tools you need this summer

Long light summer evenings and sunny weekends are the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the garden. Whether gardening is a task you love or hate, we’ve put together our top four products to help you make light work of your everyday gardening tasks, including finalists in the 2017 and 2018 prestigious RHS Chelsea Garden Product of the Year competition.

EasyPrune - power-assisted secateurs

First up is our EasyPrune, a finalist in this year’s RHS Garden Product of the Year at Chelsea Flower Show. It’s perfect for those larger branches enabling clean and precise cuts through branches of up to 25mm, ensuring a neat finish and reducing the chance of any infection being introduced. Thanks to power-assist technology, the EasyPrune makes pruning tasks really easy and so it’s a perfect tool for those gardeners with weak or painful hands who may find pruning with conventional secateurs awkward or difficult.

The power-assist function only kicks in when resistance is sensed and the handles are actively squeezed together as they would be with conventional secateurs. Weighing in at just 490 grams, the EasyPrune can be held comfortably in one hand. What’s not to love?

EasyCut 12 – a cordless NanoBlade saw

The EasyCut 12, an all-purpose compact and cordless NanoBlade saw, was recognised as one of the most exciting and innovative gardening products of the year in the 2017 RHS Chelsea Garden Product of the Year final.

Perfect for pruning and garden maintenance, a tiny saw blade with a revolving micro-chain boasts 44 teeth, enabling it to cut through wood of up to 65mm thick with ultimate precision. The cut is so clean and effortless it reduces the risk of nasty diseases or infection entering the plant.

It’s also very low maintenance - the NanoBlade has a self-tensioning chain, requiring no oil lubrication. A definite ‘must have’ for any keen gardeners you might know.

UniversalHedgePole 18 – a cordless hedge pole cutter

There’s no need to struggle with a ladder with the UniversalHedgePole 18 which is perfect for trimming young shoots and small to medium branches on tall hedges such as conifers, privets, beeches or yew trees.

It allows for impressive reach as it can be adjusted to 2.6m in length, has a 43-centimetre blade and its head can be pivoted around 135 degrees, offering even more flexibility.

As an added bonus, the tool also features the unique to Bosch anti-blocking system which guarantees a continuous cutting performance even for thicker branches. This means that if the tool fails to cut through a branch at the first attempt, it will try three times to continue cutting through. If it fails again, the anti-blocking system will go into reverse, open up the teeth and allow the user to remove the tool from the branch.

AdvancedRotak 750 – a corded lawnmower

Our AdvancedRotak 750 is one of our new generation tools and one of the quietest high-performance lawnmowers Bosch has ever made, all thanks to Bosch ProSilence technology. The smooth sound profile of the Bosch ProSilence prevents your lawnmower from disrupting the tranquillity of your neighbourhood by reducing its sound power level by up to 75% to 89 dB, while delivering an excellent finish.
