When the hammer function is deactivated, the tool can be used like a standard combi drill.
- Rotary hammer function: The rotary hammer function of an SDS drill provides a powerful hammering action in addition to the rotational movement. The rotary hammer breaks up hard materials such as concrete and stone, enabling faster drilling. By combining hammering and rotation, it effectively handles demanding drilling tasks. The hammer function must be switched off when working with delicate or soft materials such as aerated concrete to avoid damage.
