  • Leftover yarn (approx. 500 g per ring)
L: Length, W: Width, H: Height, D: Diameter

Let's go - step by step

Step 1 5

Knot the yarn

Yarn is wound around a round cardboard frame
The section of a round frame wrapped in yarn is being measured with the Bosch Zamo tape measure.

You need: Bosch Zamo, Zamo tape adapter, PappArt round frame D=30 x 8 x 1 cm, Leftover yarn (approx. 500 g per ring)

Did you find leftover yarn or ask around for some? Then let’s get started! Helpful hint: You can combine and mix the different yarn scraps any way you like. To begin, knot the yarn tightly onto the ring. It is best to hide the knot at the back of the ring.

Then wrap the yarn tightly around the ring until you have a 38 cm section. You can use the Zamo and the measuring tape adapter to check the length quite easily. Place it on your yarn and pull the tape measure to the starting point.

Step 2 5

Wrap in a pattern

A woman wraps grey yarn around a round frame.
The section of a round frame wrapped in yarn is being measured with the Bosch Zamo tape measure. The display of the device shows 9 cm.

You need: Bosch Zamo, Zamo tape adapter, Ring from step 1

Now for the exciting part: the band in the ring. To make it, alternately wrap around the entire width of the ring, then once around the edge and again around the entire ring. We’re making our band 9 cm wide. Use the Zamo with the tape measure adapter to check. Then wrap the second half of the round frame.

Step 3 5

Weave in the end

Yarn wound around a round frame is sewn with a needle.

You need: needle, Finished round frame wrapped in yarn from step 2

Once the frame is wrapped, thread your yarn onto a yarn needle and weave in the end on the back of your ring. One wall decoration is complete. Repeat these steps for each decorative ring. We’re making six of them. Are you done? Then keep reading to find out how to mount your artwork onto the wall!

Step 4 5

Marking the wall

The Bosch Atino is attached to a wall. The LED lights up green. A woman in a standing position is pulling out the integrated tape measure of the Atino toward the right and using a pencil to draw an X on the wall.

You need: Bosch Atino line level, pencil

Now you can start aligning the decorations. Attach an Atino line level to the upper left corner of your wall arrangement and align it until the red laser line points horizontally to the right and the LED lights up green. Now you can make the first mark in the centre of the hole in the Atino with the pencil, pull out the tape measure and then mark horizontally at 32 cm and 64 cm (image 1).

Then, rotate the Atino 90 degrees clockwise until it is vertically aligned and the LED lights up green again. Now, mark another cross on the wall that is 32 cm below the first one (image 2).

Remove the Atino and place it on the last mark you drew. Rotate it back to the horizontal position and mark again at 32 cm and 64 cm (image 3).

Step 5 5

Hanging the ornaments

You need: hammer, nails, Finished round frames

You’re almost done! All you have to do now is hammer nails into the wall at the marked positions and hang your artwork. The frames will be perfectly aligned. Experiment a little with the colour arrangement. Perhaps you’d like to rotate one of them and see how it looks. Let your creativity run wild and enjoy your homemade wall decorations!
